The present work discusses the development of tests with the SCA06 servo drive of brand WEG, which is used to simulate the operation of actuators in a equipment. To simulate linear motion, mechanical adaptations were made in a ball screw transmission, used with different types of motors in practical demonstrations in the classroom. In this context, the use of didactic modules is inserted in order to facilitate the student's understanding of how a motor is triggered in practice, getting away from trivial examples, such as interlocking, approaching to more complex applications, like ladder programming and the resources available in the servo driver, such as specific ladder programming to motors and encoder reading. This ladder programming language, specific to servo drives, besides being able to command motors and other external actuators, can carry out high frequency readings of the encoder and step/dir command, exemplifying the use of two fast inputs of the servo driver SCA06. This theme is the continuation of the didactic workbench of the servo driver (SCA06) with examples of drives and mechanical adaptations that enrich the practical classes. In order to validate their application in the eletromechanical drives discipline of the 7th module of the Mechatronics Engineering. In this work, it is also proposed the integration with mechanisms already developed by the PET Group of the mechatronics engineering of the IFSC Campus Florianópolis.
