Panorama das estratégias sustentáveis aplicadas às residências unifamiliares na região insular de Florianópolis-SC

Abstract

No Brasil, diversos são os desafios para a consolidação de um setor construtivo sustentável, apesar dos avanços tecnológicos, o setor da construção civil ainda é caracterizado como uma atividade altamente consumidora de recursos naturais, fontes de energia e água. Diversas são as estratégias sustentáveis que podem ser aplicadas às construções. Desse modo, o presente trabalho levantou o panorama das construções sustentáveis com enfoque nas residências unifamiliares da região insular do município de Florianópolis averiguando as principais estratégias que os escritórios de engenharia e/ou arquitetura atuantes na região estão adotando em seus projetos. O levantamento foi realizado através da coleta de informações junto aos escritórios locais por meio da distribuição de um questionário eletrônico que indagou o posicionamento das empresas frente aos desafios da sustentabilidade no setor da construção civil, as estratégias sustentáveis adotadas em seus projetos e a existência de projetos unifamiliares da região com certificações sustentáveis no portfólio dos escritórios. A amostra final contou com 13 escritórios de engenharia e/ou arquitetura, onde todos informaram adotar pelo menos algum tipo de estratégia sustentável em seus projetos, onde a estratégia comum para todos foi o aproveitamento da água pluvial, além disso, todas as empresas afirmaram conhecer em certo grau os benefícios da implantação dessas estratégias em seus projetos e três dos escritórios informaram possuir projetos unifamiliares certificados em seus portfólios. Através da análise das respostas, foi possível obter uma visão ampla das principais estratégias sustentáveis adotadas pelos escritórios da região, os fatores para as suas adoções, como também a presença de certificações de sustentabilidade em alguns projetos unifamiliares.In Brazil, there are several challenges to the consolidation of a sustainable construction sector, despite the technological advances, the construction sector is still characterized as a highly consumptive activity of natural resources, energy, and water sources. Several sustainable strategies can be applied to construction. Thus, the present work surveyed the panorama of sustainable construction, focusing on single-family houses in the insular region of the city of Florianópolis, investigating the main strategies that engineering and/or architectural offices working in the region are adopting in their projects. The survey was conducted by collecting information from local offices through the distribution of an electronic questionnaire, which inquired about the positioning of firms in the face of the challenges of sustainability in the construction industry, the sustainable strategies adopted in their projects, and the existence of single-family projects in the region with sustainable certifications in the firms' portfolios. The final sample included 13 engineering and/or architectural firms, all of which reported adopting at least some type of sustainable strategy in their projects, where the common strategy for all was the use of rainwater. In addition, all firms said they knew to some degree the benefits of implementing these strategies in their projects, and three of the firms reported having certified single-family projects in their portfolios. Through the analysis of the responses, it was possible to obtain a broad view of the leading sustainable strategies adopted by the regional offices, the factors for their adoption, and the presence of sustainability certifications in some single-family projects.
