The simulation of industrial processes with the use of didactic benches with PLC allows the development of several practical activities, in addition to being an excellent way for students and teachers to acquire and consolidate knowledge by carrying out various types of experiments. The objective of this work is to carry out the documentation of two different industrial machines, a sugar centrifuge and a three-block brewery, which use PLC with its digital, analog I/O expansions and Modbus-RTU communication network, being controlled and monitored by an HMI. Initially, a benchmarking was carried out on the didactic benches that contain communication networks, PLC and HMI incorporated to know their potential use. Also, the elucidation of industrial applications and machines that use the expansions and tools proposed in this work, such as HMI, recipes and analog I/O. Afterwards, the development of the proposed machines was based on the functional diagram, with the PLC programming being performed in ISPSoft 3.09 software, from the HMI in DOPSoft 2.00.07, both from the Delta manufacturer of PLC and HMI. Thus, the tests were carried out with the practicality of simulating the HMI directly from the computer programming software. Next, the two machines that contain network communication with control devices, the use of analog inputs to improve accuracy and HMI features, such as the graphics and recipes, were simulated on a didactic bench. But it was necessary to make some adjustments in the PLC logic, for the correct functioning of the Modbus telegrams and recipes. Finally, this work leaves a knowledge base for the students of the Mechatronics Engineering Course at IFSC, for the purpose of using the didactic bench developed, or even the simulation of other industrial machines, both in the PLC programming and in the realization from the HMI screens.
