O trabalho de assistente de alunos no Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo é analisar o trabalho de assistente de alunos do Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina (IFSC) pela relação entre trabalho prescrito e trabalho real. O cargo de assistente de alunos foi criado em 2005, inserido nas instituições federais de educação. As únicas informações sobre as suas atribuições constam nos editais de concurso público. A pesquisadora é assistente de alunos no IFSC desde 2017 e, no decorrer da sua prática profissional, percebeu que as atribuições prescritas são amplas e oferecem margem para diferentes interpretações, refletindo os interesses nas reais demandas solicitadas ao servidor do cargo. Os objetivos específicos do estudo são: a) analisar a constituição histórica do trabalho de assistente de alunos e as principais produções bibliográficas sobre o tema; b) identificar os sujeitos da pesquisa, o trabalho exercido e as relações existentes com as atribuições descritas em edital; c) compreender os sentidos atribuídos ao trabalho, pelos assistentes de alunos do IFSC, e d) desenvolver um Produto Educacional que contribua para o trabalho e o desenvolvimento identitário deste grupo de servidores. Para atingir aos objetivos propostos, as teorias sobre o trabalho e o sentido atribuído, como também a psicodinâmica do trabalho, estão fundamentadas em Marx (2013, 2015, 2021), Saviani (2007), Antunes (2009, 2014, 2015, 2023), Dejours (1992, 1993, 1994, 2004, 2012), Brito (2023), Areosa (2019, 2021), entre outros autores. Trata-se de um trabalho de natureza aplicada, com procedimentos técnicos de uma pesquisa participante, pautado em uma abordagem qualitativa e fundamentado pelo materialismo histórico-dialético. A produção de dados foi feita por meio de um questionário que foi respondido por 35 assistentes de alunos do IFSC. Posteriormente, como Produto Educacional, foi realizada uma Roda de Conversa on-line, na qual 16 daqueles que responderam ao questionário compareceram. Tanto o questionário quanto a Roda de Conversa on-line, apresentaram incoerências entre as atribuições do edital e a realidade de trabalho demandada. De forma geral, os resultados da pesquisa realizada mostram as múltiplas dimensões e sentidos do trabalho dos assistentes de alunos do IFSC, bem como os inúmeros desafios existentes para superação da desvalorização e exploração destes servidores.

The objective of this study is to analyze the work of student assistants at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC), considering the relationship between the prescribed work and the actual work. The position of student assistant was created in 2005, inserted in federal educational institutions. The only information about its duties is available in the public selection notices. The researcher has been a student assistant at IFSC since 2017 and, during her professional practice, she realized that the prescribed duties are broad and allow for different interpretations, reflecting the interests in the real demands requested of the employee in the position. The specific objectives of the study are: a) to analyze the historical constitution of the work of student assistant and the main bibliographic productions on the subject; b) to identify the research subjects, the work performed and the existing relationships with the duties described in the notice; c) to understand the meanings attributed to the work by the student assistants at IFSC; and d) to develop an Educational Product that contributes to the work and the identity development of this group of employees. To achieve the proposed objectives, theories about work and the meaning attributed, as well as the psychodynamics of work, are based on Marx (2013, 2015, 2021), Saviani (2007), Antunes (2009, 2014, 2015, 2023), Dejours (1992, 1993, 1994, 2004, 2012), Brito (2023), Areosa (2019, 2021), among other authors. This is an applied work, with technical procedures of a participatory research, based on a qualitative approach and founded on historical-dialectical materialism. Data production was made through a questionnaire that was answered by 35 IFSC student assistants. Subsequently, as an Educational Product, an online Conversation Circle was held, in which 16 of those who answered the questionnaire attended. Both the questionnaire and the online discussion group showed inconsistencies between the duties of the notice and the reality of the work required. In general, the results of the research carried out show the multiple dimensions and meanings of the work of IFSC student assistants, as well as the numerous existing challenges to overcome the devaluation and exploitation of these employees.
