Viabilidade econômica da produção de pinus taeda L. em Lages(SC) sob variações de regimes de manejo e produtividade.

Abstract

A produção de Pinus é essencial para a economia de Santa Catarina, especialmente em Lages, mas poucos estudos analisaram a viabilidade econômica em diferentes regimes de manejo e condições de sítio. Este trabalho avaliou a viabilidade econômica da produção de Pinus taeda L. em Lages, considerando três regimes de manejo (M0D = manejo sem desbaste e corte raso aos 15 anos; M1D = manejo com o 1o desbaste aos 7 anos e corte raso aos 15 anos; e M2D = manejo com o 1o desbaste aos 7 anos, 2o desbaste aos 12 anos e corte raso aos 20 anos), e três cenários de Índice de Sítio (IS = 19, 21 e 23), em áreas simuladas. A pesquisa, de natureza quantitativa e exploratória, simulou as estimativas de produção dos sortimentos de Pinus utilizando o software SisPinus e analisou os custos com a metodologia de custeio Activity Based Costing (ABC), dividindo-os em insumos, mão de obra, mecanização e comercialização. Considerando os valores do ano fiscal de 2024, as receitas foram estimadas com base nos preços de venda dos sortimentos destinados à celulose e serraria no formato "posto indústria", e os custos de produção estimados com base em empresas e prestadores de serviços regionais, incluindo os impostos de comercialização. Fluxos de caixa constantes foram elaborados e a viabilidade econômica foi avaliada pelos indicadores Valor Presente Líquido (VPL) e Taxa Interna de Retorno (TIR), utilizando uma Taxa Mínima de Atratividade (TMA) real de 4% ao ano, e considerando na análise o Custo de Oportunidade da Terra (COT). O VPL e a TIR indicaram que os regimes de manejo são economicamente inviáveis no cenário de IS 19, mas viáveis nos cenários de IS 21 e 23. No regime M0D o VPL variou de um valor negativo de -R$3.593,31 a um positivo de R$12.805,49, com a TIR entre 2,06% a 8,68% ano ano. No regime M1D o VPL variou de -R$4.813,16 a R$10.555,27, com a TIR entre 1,26% e 8,08% ao ano. Já no regime M2D o VPL variou de -R$1.342,25 a R$16.865,23, com a TIR anual entre 3,51% a 8,42%. Os resultados indicam que a viabilidade econômica da produção de Pinus taeda está ligada ao IS, o que afeta as estimativas de produção e receitas. Assim, a viabilidade do investimento pode variar significativamente conforme as condições edafoclimáticas da propriedade.

Pine production is essential to the economy of Santa Catarina, especially in Lages, but few studies have analyzed the economic viability under different management regimes and site conditions. This study evaluated the economic viability of Pinus taeda L. production in Lages, considering three management regimes (M0D = management without thinning and clear-cutting at 15 years; M1D = management with the 1st thinning at 7 years and clear-cutting at 15 years; and M2D = management with the 1st thinning at 7 years, 2nd thinning at 12 years and clear-cutting at 20 years), and three Site Index scenarios (SI = 19, 21 and 23), in simulated areas. The research, of a quantitative and exploratory nature, simulated the production estimates of the Pinus assortments using the SisPinus software and analyzed the costs with the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) methodology, dividing them into inputs, labor, mechanization and marketing. Considering the values of the fiscal year 2024, the revenues were estimated based on the sales prices of the assortments destined for pulp and sawmill in the "industrial post" format, and the production costs estimated based on regional companies and service providers, including marketing taxes. Constant cash flows were prepared and the economic viability was assessed by the Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) indicators, using a real Minimum Attractiveness Rate of Return (MARR) of 4% per year, and considering in the analysis the Land Opportunity Cost (COT). The NPV and IRR indicated that the management regimes are economically unfeasible in the IS 19 scenario, but viable in the IS 21 and 23 scenarios. In the M0D regime, the NPV varied from a negative value of -R$3,593.31 to a positive value of R$12,805.49, with the IRR between 2.06% and 8.68% per year. In the M1D regime, the NPV varied from -R$ 4,813.16 to R$10,555.27, with the IRR between 1.26% and 8.08% per year. In the M2D regime, the NPV varied from -R$1,342.25 to R$16,865.23, with the annual IRR between 3.51% and 8.42%. The results indicate that the economic viability of Pinus taeda production is linked to the SI, which affects production and revenue estimates. Thus, the viability of the investment can vary significantly depending on the soil and climate conditions of the property.
