Fast fashion e slow fashion: o paradoxo e a transição

Abstract

A contemporaneidade é caracterizada por mudanças constantes em todos os aspectos da sociedade. O presente artigo objetiva analisar a transição paradoxal entre os fenômenos sociais dofast fashion como reflexo da era moderna e o slow fashion como uma reação pós-moderna. Para essa reflexão, são estudados os conceitos de Saturação de Michel Maffesoli e da Bacia Semântica de Gilbert Durand, ambas teorias do imaginário. A metodologia de pesquisa se faz pela abordagem compreensiva, que visa descrever o vivido reconhecendo no cotidiano a força da potência social. O Fashion Revolution traz, com a metáfora do fluxo das águas de Durand, o exemplo desse movimento cíclico. A transição é um processo permanente e contínuo, porém inconstante, imprevisível e não linear.

Contemporaneity is characterized by constant changes in all aspects of society. The present article aims to analyze the paradoxical transition between social phenomena, bringing fast fashion as a reflection of the modern era and slow fashion as a postmodern reaction. For this reflection are studied the concepts of Saturation of Michel Maffesoli and the Semantic Basin of Gilbert Durand, both theories of the imaginary. The methodology of research is done by the comprehensive approach, which aims to describe the lived recognizing in everyday life the power of social power. Fashion Revolution brings, along with the Durand water flow metaphor, the example of this cyclical movement. Transition is a permanent and continuous process, however inconstant, unpredictable and non-linear.
