Educação para relações étnico-raciais no ensino de ciências: investigando possibilidades para a implementação da lei 10.639/03 nas aulas de química

Abstract

No ensino de química, a Educação para as Relações Étnico-Raciais (ERER) transforma-se em um importante instrumento para a transformação da sociedade, oportunizando o rompimento de currículos eurocêntricos. Sendo assim, este trabalho possui como objetivo principal evidenciar, de forma sistematizada, as contribuições de diversas produções acadêmicas publicadas no intervalo entre 2003 e 2024 voltados à promoção da ERER no ensino de química, a partir de categorias propostas pela intelectual brasileira Bárbara Carine Soares Pinheiro. Nesse sentido, foi realizada uma análise de artigos publicados desde a sanção da Lei 10.639/03 até o presente tempo. Na análise, foi possível observar a presença das abordagens Antirracista, Afrocentrada e Afrorreferenciada nas produções. A partir disso, é proposto possibilidades que vislumbrem o cumprimento da Lei Federal 10.639/2003 no contexto da educação científica, mas, também, a denúncia da sociedade racista em que vivemos, bem como o resgate das narrativas de cientistas negros(as) silenciadas e das referências ancestrais de povos africanos.

In chemistry education, Ethnic-Racial Relations Education (ERER) becomes an important instrument for transforming society, seeking to break down Eurocentric curricula. Therefore, this study aims to systematically highlight the contributions of various academic productions published between 2003 and 2024 focused on promoting ERER in chemistry education. In this sense, an analysis of articles published since the sanction of Law 10.639/03 until the present time was carried out. In the analysis, it was possible to observe the presence of Anti-Racist, Afrocentric, and Afrorreferenced approaches in the productions. From this, the fulfillment of Federal Law 10.639/2003 in the context of scientific education is envisioned, but also the denunciation of the racist society in which we live, as well as the rescue of the narratives of silenced black scientists and the ancestral references of African peoples.
