This work presents a design proposal for the interface of a digital platform used to monitor energy consumption, related to the smart meters developed by Centrais Elétricas de Santa Catarina S.A. (CELESC). The main objective is to develop an interface that displays energy consumption information in a clear, intuitive, and accessible way for residential consumers, facilitating the understanding of consumption behavior and enabling the identification of patterns and opportunities for saving energy. The adopted methodology follows the five planes proposed by Garrett (2011): Strategy, Scope, Structure, Skeleton, and Surface, which organize user experience design from abstract to concrete. The project is justified by the growth in energy consumption in Santa Catarina and the need to make smart meter data more understandable to consumers, encouraging conscious energy use. As a result, an interface proposal was developed that organizes and hierarchizes energy consumption data, reduces the user’s cognitive load, and enhances the interaction experience with the presented information, contributing to a better understanding of consumption patterns and to the acceptance of the technology by consumers. This work contributes both to academic advancement in the field of interface design and usability, and to the improvement of public services mediated by digital technologies.
