Atividade investigativa na educação ambiental: utilização das ferramentas tecnológicas no ensino sobre o monitoramento das florestas de Santa Catarina

Vivemos um momento de imensa preocupação em relação às mudanças climáticas oriundas do desmatamento do nosso planeta. Tal tema está presente no contexto da Educação Ambiental. A literatura aponta que uma das estratégias utilizadas para tratar sobre esse tema é o ensino por investigação, na qual torna o estudante mais participativo e protagonista do processo de ensino/aprendizagem. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar os resultados de uma atividade investigativa (AI) sobre a utilização das tecnologias espaciais para o uso no monitoramento das florestas catarinenses. Com o auxílio das ferramentas tecnológicas WebQuest, Kahoot, Google formulários, um simulador para a construção de satélites e imagens de satélite por sensoriamento remoto, elaboramos uma sequência didática (SD), aplicada em 5 etapas distribuídas em 9 aulas de 45 minutos com duas turmas do oitavo ano do ensino fundamental da rede pública do município de Indaial (SC), perfazendo 34 estudantes participantes. A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa de cunho exploratório e descritiva. A coleta de dados envolveu a observação participante, o relato das respostas das entrevistas estruturadas e a atuação dos estudantes ao longo da AI. Os encaminhamentos da SD foram reunidos em um programa computacional utilizando a ferramenta da WebQuest. Os resultados apontaram que 26 estudantes participaram integralmente de todas as atividades. Em relação às entrevistas os resultados indicaram que os estudantes entendem que os satélites artificiais são objetos criados pelo ser humano com o objetivo de explorar e monitorar as informações, são projetados e colocados no espaço, servem para explorar o universo e também monitorar as nossas florestas e são tecnologias espaciais utilizadas por pesquisadores de diversas áreas do conhecimento. O simulador mostrou-se uma ferramenta com enorme potencial a ser explorada de forma contextualizada despertando enorme interesse dos estudantes. O Kahoot mostrou uma ferramenta atrativa e interativa para os estudantes e oferece uma finalidade educacional dessa tecnologia, no texto constatamos a importância da interpretação no sentido de conduzir os diálogos durante a AI, e os desenhos revelaram as representações construídas e a criatividade. Por fim, consideramos que as atividades investigativas aliadas a processos bem definidos podem colaborar com o ensino/aprendizagem dos estudantes.
We are living in a time of immense concern about climate change caused by deforestation of our planet. This issue is present in the context of Environmental Education. The literature points out that one of the strategies used to deal with this issue is teaching by investigation, in which it makes the student more participative and protagonist of the teaching/learning process. The objective of this work is to present the results of an investigative activity (IA) on the use of space technologies for use in monitoring Santa Catarina´s forests. With the help of the technological tools WebQuest, Kahoot, Google forms, a simulator for the construction of satellites and satellite images by remote sensing, we developed a didactic sequence (SD), applied in 5 stages distributed in 9 classes of 45 minutes with two eighth grade classes from the public elementary school system in the municipality of Indaial (SC), with 34 students taking part. The methodology used was qualitative, exploratory and descriptive. The data collection involved participant observation, reporting the answers to structured interview responses, and students' performance throughout the IA. The SD referrals were put together in a computer program using the WebQuest tool. The results showed that 26 students participated fully in all activities. In regard to the interviews, the results indicated that the students understand that artificial satellites are objects created by man with the objective of exploring and monitoring information, they are designed and placed in space, they serve to explore the universe and also monitor our forests and are space technologies used by researchers from different areas of knowledge. The simulator proved to be a tool with enormous potential to be explored in a contextualized way, arousing enormous students´ interest. Kahoot showed an attractive and interactive tool for students and offers an educational purpose of this technology, in the text we saw the importance of interpretation in order to conduct dialogues during AI, and the drawings revealed the constructed representations and creativity. Finally, we consider that investigative activities combined with well-defined processes can collaborate with the teaching/learning of students.
