Moda inclusiva: o uso de turbantes na rotina de mulheres em tratamento contra o câncer

Uma das maiores preocupações das mulheres enquanto enfrentam o tratamento contra o câncer segundo pesquisa de Baitelo, Reis e Gradim (2015) é a perda de cabelo, efeito colateral da quimioterapia que causa ansiedade nas mulheres afetando-as em vários aspectos. A pesquisa tem como objetivo geral compreender de que forma a aplicação do uso de turbantes na rotina de uma mulher em tratamento contra o câncer contribui na diminuição dos impactos da perda dos cabelos, auxiliando na inclusão social. A pesquisa se caracteriza como qualitativa, descritiva e exploratória. Foi elaborado um estudo de caso dividido em duas partes através de entrevistas semiestruturadas com a persona Virgínia Cláudia, que está em tratamento contra o câncer. Além das entrevistas, visando minimizar o desconforto da entrevistada que sofre de alopecia, o estudo de caso propõe por meio da aplicação do design universal a confecção e utilização de turbantes em sua rotina minimizando o impacto da perda dos cabelos na vida social.
According to a research conducted by Baitelo, Reis, and Gradim (2015), one of the major concerns of women while undergoing cancer treatment is hair loss, a side effect of chemotherapy that causes anxiety in women. This loss affects women in several aspects. The general objective of the research was to understand how the use of turbans in the routine of a woman undergoing cancer treatment contributes to reducing the impacts of hair loss and helps in social inclusion. This study was characterized as qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory. A case study took place and it was divided into two parts through semi-structured interviews with the persona VirgíniaCláudia, who is undergoing cancer treatment. In addition to the interviews, to minimize the discomfort of the interviewee who suffers from alopecia, the case study proposes, through the application of universal design, the confection and use of turbans in her routine to diminish the impact of hair loss on social life.
