Arte engajada: expressões de mulher na obra de Cindy Sherman

Abstract

O presente artigo apresenta uma análise que provoca a reflexão sobre o papel da mulher a partir da arte. O objetivo geral é, portanto, analisar a partir de parte da obra de Cindy Sherman qual a dinâmica da condição da mulher entre a realidade e arte em expressões que abarcam o conceito do seu papel social. O trabalho apresenta um diálogo com a importância da Arte Engajada nesse processo, considerando a partir dessa manifestação, a função da Arte como capacidade politizada de promover a crítica e a reflexão em um assunto que permeia a realidade da nossa sociedade. Para tanto, utiliza como metodologia o levantamento bibliográfico, sendo de ordem qualitativa e documental. Os resultados obtidos identificam a importância da arte, nesse caso a partir da fotografia de Cindy Sherman, como instrumento de análise conceitual do papel da mulher enquanto ser social e culturalmente condicionado.This article presents an analysis that provokes reflection on the role of women based on art. The general objective is, therefore, to analyze, from part of Cindy Sherman's work, the dynamics of the condition of women between reality and art in expressions that encompass the concept of their social role. The work presents a dialogue with the importance of Engaged Art in this process, considering, from this manifestation, the function of Art as a politicized capacity to promote criticism and reflection on an issue that permeates the reality of our society. For that, it uses as methodology the bibliographic survey, being of a qualitative and documentary order. The results obtained identify the importance of art, in this case based on Cindy Sherman's photography, as an instrument for the conceptual analysis of the role of women as a social and culturally conditioned being.
