Engajamento dos alunos do sistema educacional municipal de Itapema/SC, frente a Carta da Terra, a Agenda 2030 e as mudanças climáticas

Resumo
A Agenda 2030 foi assumida pelo Brasil e outros 192 países para assegurar os direitos humanos e promover o desenvolvimento sustentável. Portanto, estes países são considerados signatários de um tratado global. A Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) elaborou um Plano de Ação para promover mudanças positivas na sociedade, denominado Agenda Global. Neste contexto, a Agenda 2030 é um compromisso universal para transformar o mundo até 2030, e a sua implementação requer o engajamento e a colaboração de todos os setores e atores da sociedade, principalmente nas escolas, onde há uma parcela de sociedade em formação. Então, trabalhar os conhecimentos e habilidades de jovens para saber como responder as adaptações frente as mudanças climáticas é vital para que possam permanecerem em seus territórios de forma sustentável. A partir disto, o presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar o engajamento dos alunos do município de Itapema (SC), frente à Agenda 2030 e à Carta da Terra e sua relação com as mudanças climáticas. A metodologia aplicada foi dividida em três etapas: identificação e caracterização dos diferentes grupos de estudantes quanto a idade, gênero e escolaridade do sistema educacional público do ensino fundamental II; análise do nível de engajamento e percepção frente à Carta da Terra e à Agenda 2030 e; análise da relação da cobertura vegetal com a formação de ilhas de calor e com o engajamento social quanto às mudanças climáticas. Os principais resultados sugerem que há necessidade de criação de programas interdisciplinares que vinculam o tema das mudanças climáticas na base curricular dos alunos como elemento obrigatório nos conteúdos programáticos das disciplinas, pois foi observado que existe o interesse dos estudantes em promover ações que diminuam os efeitos das mudanças climáticas e que previnam os avanços das emissões de carbono. No entanto, esses jovens não possuem informações a respeito de como realizar isso, quais são as metas nacionais e internacionais e o que a Nação, como coletivo, está realizando essas ações. Outro resultado importante mostra o aumento das áreas com maiores temperaturas se superfície terrestre (TST) e redução do Índice de Vegetação por Diferença Normalizada (IVDN), quando comparados os anos de 2013 e 2024, possibilitando a geração de ilhas de calor em Itapema. Tal resultado permite identificar a importância do conhecimento sobre o engajamento da população, em especial dos jovens do município de Itapema, com relação as mudanças climáticas a fim de possibilitar a promoção de conhecimento, nas ações de mitigação em função do aquecimento global e intensificação dos eventos extremos no município.
The 2030 Agenda was adopted by Brazil and 192 other countries to ensure human rights and promote sustainable development. Therefore, these countries are considered signatories to a global treaty. The United Nations (UN) developed an Action Plan to promote positive changes in society, called the Global Agenda. In this context, the 2030 Agenda is a universal commitment to transform the world by 2030, and its implementation requires the engagement and collaboration of all sectors and actors in society, especially in schools, where there is a portion of society in formation. Therefore, working on the knowledge and skills of young people to know how to respond to adaptations to climate change is vital so that they can remain in their territories in a sustainable way. Based on this, the present study aims to analyze the engagement of students in the municipality of Itapema (SC), towards the 2030 Agenda and the Earth Charter and their relationship with climate change. The methodology applied was divided into three stages: identification and characterization of different groups of students in terms of age, gender and education in the public education system of elementary school II; analysis of the level of engagement and perception regarding the Earth Charter and the 2030 Agenda and; analysis of the relationship between vegetation cover and the formation of heat islands and social engagement regarding climate change. The main results suggest that there is a need to create interdisciplinary programs that link the topic of climate change in the students' curricular base as a mandatory element in the syllabus of the subjects, as it was observed that there is an interest among students in promoting actions that reduce the effects of climate change. climate change and that prevent advances in carbon emissions.
